After becoming an ambassador for The Lessons of Auschwitz Trust, I got in touch with the local press to gain publicity for the trust. This also enabled me to gain contacts and ultimately gained work experience as a result. -Article written by The North-West Evening Mail

This year I gained a two week work placement at Star Magazine. I was given many responsibilities including writing articles, transcribing interviews, researching, uploading online content, interviewing celebrities and attending events.

Writing catchy and snappy headlines was key to the writing style of this magazine.

'Where is the love' needs to have catchy headers, snappy comments and well-written content. I was able to achieve this by looking at past examples to give me an idea of what was required in terms of writing style.

I offered to attend a 'celebrity event' in London to gain some experience in this field, and also to show enthusiasm and confidence within journalism. I was able to interview a 'Made in Chelsea' star which was part of the VIP section of the magazine.
